Local Engineer Will Make Another Attempt to Change Politics

My name is Jeff Sinnard and I will again run for election as Representative from the Ohio Second District to the United States Congress.

I believe our faith in democracy has been severely shaken. Headlines scream scandal and corruption. It is no wonder that we lack faith in politicians since they show no faith in us, the people they profess to represent. The smoky back rooms in Washington and here in Ohio are alive and well and humming with activity.

Change is desperately needed. It is time to take back our country from the special interests and lobbyists. It is time to end politics as usual and restore faith in our government. We need much more than new faces. We need dramatically different ways of doing the peoples’ business.

U.S. Supreme Court Justice Louis Brandeis said, "A little sunlight is the best disinfectant." I will be running a campaign in the bright light of day. On my campaign website I have laid out my stance on the issues of the day. I have made my personal pledge to be a new kind of politician.

I am offering a new choice to the people of the Second District. I ask that you believe in me, because I believe in you. I know in my heart any number of you could go to Washington and make the needed changes. You just do not have the time. I will go to Washington in service to the people.

I believe my platform embodies the values and principles of the citizens of southern Ohio. We are all concerned about the standing of America in the world. We strive to be good stewards of our natural world. We care about the health and prosperity of our neighbors. And we hope and pray that we are leaving our children a better world.

I believe we can do better. I have a hopeful vision for tomorrow and boundless confidence in the future of America.
