Continuing with Q and A.

Question 10.  Wiretaps without warrants and limits to Presidential powers?

Answer 10.  Jean expressed support for the Patriot act and said that it was misunderstood because “the media (did not) allow us to understand”.  She said that we are in a situation that we “never have been in before”.  Where someone can walk into a room and “blow us up”.  She indicated that nothing is happen “on the surface” in Congress to address this.


Q11.  As a person of faith how do you justify the spending cuts for the poor in the new budget?

A11.  The food stamp cuts does not effect citizens only “outside people”.  And “we can’t feed the world.”  She was unsure of the final cuts to student loans but that the program was still there.  She went on to talk about how the “tax cuts are working”.  She wants to address the alternative minimum tax because she thought, “50% of the room is hit by the AMT.”  And final she wanted to get rid of the “death tax” for the sake of small businesses and farms.


Q12.  What about the rumor?  (I will not repeat rumors here)

A12.  It is false.
